I hope you’re having a good day despite the snowfall here in Edmonton. I guess with Halloween out of the way we should be looking forward to setting the ambiance for the next holiday…right?? Just jokes. Thankfully I haven’t been hit in the face with Christmas carols during my travels today – hoping y’all are just as lucky.
I suppose that’s a great segue into this post for today, because I mean what better way to clear Christmas jingles out of your head than with an awesome curated playlist by yours truly!? (There is none, obvi.) Without further ado, here it is:
The Fall II 2016 Playlist
- Solange – Cranes in the Sky
- LIVE – Thirst
- Jay Park – All I Wanna Do feat. Hoody and Loco
- Post Malone – Deja Vu feat. Justin Bieber
- Jeremih – oui
I’ve been feeling pretty mellow lately with the chillier weather and the earlier sunsets. I don’t know about you, but I get pretty affected when the seasons change and there’s an obvious lack of sunshine. Some things I’ve been working on is a) making sure I still get a workout in even if I don’t get to the gym (the hubby has a bench in the basement), and b) staying on top of blogging. Because I’ve signed on to do these music posts, it forces me to listen to more music – which is actually really, really good for me.
Solange’s new album A Seat at the Table has been really healing for me this past month. I’ve worked through half of the album so far, and I’m loving it. mr nakanit on the other hand, has been on this Jay Park fix for the past few weeks, and while I’m hating how dirty Aquaman is, I have to admit that Jay is a great singer and dancer. I’ve watched All I Wanna Do like 5 times already – the one I’ve added is the choreography version, a collaboration with Korean dance studio 1MILLION, which means I highly recommend watching and not just listening.
LIVE was suggested to me by a friend of a friend, and I am in LOVE. LIVE’s videos with Dream Perfect Regime are aesthetically breathtaking, and the music has great flow. Highly recommended.
And finally, if you’re in love (or in need of some), Post Malone and Jeremih can hopefully tide you over. (Deja Vu reminds me of Hotline Bling. Just a warning for the unfans of #uncledrake)
Some songs that were close to making this playlist but didn’t (but which I also love):
- Solange – Mad feat. Lil Wayne
- LIVE – God Bless feat. Punchnello
- Jay Park – Solo feat. Hoody
What have you been listening to lately? Any recommendations? Leave me a note below!
