Mizon AHA & BHA Daily Clean Toner Review
Sooo… I’m back, again. It’s been over a month now since our last beauty product review here on eggsonthewall, so I want to come back with one today on the Mizon AHA & BHA Daily Clean Toner. I was supposed to be back with a solid posting schedule after my short hiatus, but then I went on an even longer, unanticipated one thereafter. I’m hoping to be back for good and on schedule this time around. The holidays brought about an unexpected amount of busyness with family, friends and errands that severely interfered with my blogging intentions. So, I’m sorry about that (for those of you out there checking in on us regularly).
Despite the craziness of the holidays, nakanit and I did manage to meet up while I was back in Edmonton and we were able to do some work on our blog. We’re definitely feelin’ the new theme and hope you like it too! (As always, feel free to let us know what you think in our comments below). Now, moving on to what you’re all here for – a review of the Korean Mizon AHA & BHA Daily Clean Toner!
The purpose of this toner is to help balance the PH levels of your skin after cleansing. The AHAs work to exfoliate dead skin cells and the BHA helps with unclogging pores.
The standard size for the product is a 150mL sturdy plastic bottle with a twist off lid.
I’ve not been using this product daily on a continuous basis (reasons below) so it is hard for me to gauge how long it would last. However, I did manage to use it on a daily basis for about three to four continuous weeks and I think it took down about half the bottle.
After cleansing, just simply swipe a cotton pad soaked with the toner all over the face.
The product is a watery, clear liquid. It has a light citrus scent that reminds me of juicy tangerine oranges. Love that scent.
The product absorbs relatively quickly and doesn’t leave any noticeable residue behind. Other than that… I really don’t know what the product does. I can’t tell if it balances the PH levels of my skin or not. Balancing out the PH levels of your skin is supposed to help with the absorption of other products. So I’ve tried to take note on whether my other products applied after the toner worked more effectively or not. I did not notice any differences. Hence, the on again, off again usage (as mentioned above).
I typically apply my essence after the toner and the only difference I notice with using the toner is that my face remains slightly sticky after application of the essence for longer than usual. I think perhaps the moisture is retained a little longer? Otherwise, I really don’t see any differences in my skin using it versus not using it.
I haven’t noticed any exfoliation or unclogging of pores due to use of the Mizon AHA & BHA Daily Clean Toner.
- It smells wonderful. If I had a lot of money to spare, I might just throw this product in to my routine just for how nice it smells.
- Packaging is simple and effective.
- It doesn’t do anything noticeable for me. My skin is fine with or without it. I don’t notice my other products performing better or worse with or without it.
No. It doesn’t do anything noticeable enough to justify an additional cost to my routine.
And that’s it for now. I am super excited to be back though; there are lots that I want to share with you all!
